Backorder a domain — we reach out to the owner and catch it if it drops

Want a domain that's already registered? Tell us your budget, and ns6 contacts the current owner on your behalf — and holds a seat on the drop-catch queue so if it is not renewed we register it for you the moment it drops.

How a backorder works

1

He mea whakahauhau te whakahauhau

Enter the registered domain you want, tell us your budget, and pay the $99 backorder fee. Work starts the moment the payment clears.

2

We contact the owner

We find the current owner — through the WHOIS record, the domain’s own website and its contact form — and write to them on your behalf without revealing your budget. Any reply comes straight to us, we negotiate within your budget, and you approve a price before anything is bought.

3

Domain backorder - FAQ

He tono hei whakarārangi i tētahi rohe kua tangohia i tēnei wā i te wā e whakamutu ana, ā, ka whakapeka.

A flat $99 fee, paid when you place the backorder. It covers reaching out to the current owner on your behalf and your place on our drop-catch queue. If the owner agrees to sell, the purchase price is separate and you approve it first. The fee is non-refundable.

No. Owners can decline to sell, and drop-catching is competitive — many services race for the same expiring names. We make a genuine attempt on both fronts, but no registrar can promise a catch, and the fee covers the work rather than the outcome.

Mēnā ka whiwhi a tātau i tētahi ingoa he maha nga tāngata i whakatūpato, ka haere ki tētahi whakatūpato ā-iwi poto i waenganui i ēnei whakatūpato, ā, ka whiwhi te utu tiketike rawa.

I muri i te whakamututanga o te rohe, ka puta mai tētahi wā whakawhāiti, kātahi ka noho tētahi wā whakawhiwhinga (i te nuinga o te 30–75 rā katoa) i mua i te whakakoretanga, ā, ka wātea. Ka whai tātau i taua matapihi mō tō tātau whakarerekētanga.

That is part of every backorder now: we contact the owner first, and the drop-catch queue is the fallback if they don’t renew. If you only want the negotiation without the drop-catch, our broker service does exactly that.
