Refund Policy

Domains are billed by the registry the instant they're registered, so registrations are largely non-refundable. Here's exactly when a refund is — and isn't — possible.

Failed registrations

Refunded in full, automatically — no request needed.

Grace-window deletes

Possible for eligible TLDs, minus non-refundable fees.

Everything else

Registrations, renewals and transfers are non-refundable.

Registrations are non-refundable

When you register a domain, the registry that operates the extension charges for it immediately, and that charge is final. Because we've already paid the registry on your behalf, a completed domain registration is generally non-refundable. The same applies to renewals and transfers — they are billed by the registry as soon as they're submitted.

Failed registrations are refunded in full

Occasionally a payment goes through but the domain can't actually be registered at the registrar — for example the name was taken in the same instant, or the registry rejected it. In that case the domain never becomes yours, so we refund it in full, automatically, back to your original payment method. You don't need to contact us or fill out a form.

Limited refunds within a registry grace window

Some registries provide a short grace or deletion window right after a domain is registered, during which an eligible name can be deleted for a partial refund. This is not offered for every extension, and where it is available the registrar and registry fees are non-refundable. That means any amount returned is reduced by those fees.

Registrar and registry fees are passed through

When a refund is possible, the registrar charges a fee to process the deletion, and any registry fees already paid are not returned. We pass that cost through at exactly what the registrar charges us — we never mark it up. Free features such as WHOIS privacy, DNS and SSL cost nothing, so there is nothing extra to refund.

How to request a refund

If you think your situation falls within a registry's refund window, contact our support team with your order details and we'll review it. If your case is eligible, we'll process the refund minus the non-refundable registrar and registry fees. Failed registrations are handled automatically and don't need a request.

Refund FAQ

Domain registrations are generally non-refundable. The moment a domain is registered, the registry bills for it immediately and that charge is not reversible. A refund is only possible in the limited cases described in this policy.

If payment succeeds but the domain never registers at the registrar, we refund that domain in full, automatically. You do not need to request anything — the reversal is issued back to your original payment method.

Only in limited cases. Some registries offer a short grace or deletion window after registration during which an eligible name can be deleted for a partial refund. This is not available for every TLD, and the registry and registrar fees are non-refundable and deducted from any amount returned.

Yes. When a refund is possible, the registrar charges a pass-through fee for the deletion, and any registry fees already paid are non-refundable. We pass that cost through at exactly what the registrar charges us — we do not mark it up.

No. Like new registrations, transfers and renewals are billed by the registry immediately and are non-refundable once submitted. Please double-check the domain and term before you check out.

No. WHOIS privacy, DNS and SSL are always free, so there is nothing extra to refund. You only ever pay the registry price for the domain itself.

Contact our support team with your order details. If your case falls inside a registry grace window and the TLD is eligible, we process it minus the non-refundable registrar and registry fees. Failed registrations are refunded automatically and need no request.
